Talan Blanck's Player Profile:

Blanck was one of the bright spots from last years Vipers, 32 points in 27 games (11 goals/21 assists). He was an exciting player to watch and things usually happened when he was on the ice. The problem was, however that he was only here for half a year which illustrates the real problem. The Vipers can not attract players like Talan to start of the season. They scout and recruit poorly, quit on players far too early and then scramble to fill out their roster mid season. Once in a while they hit a home run on a player like Blanck but this helter skelter style of roster fulfillment does little to create stability or loyalty on any team. Please Tom, open your eyes and get a proper/competent hockey person to run this team. The current guy playing GM does not have a clue.
Agree.... Blanck was one of if not the Vipers best player. Very skilled and gave the fans something to cheer about.
Talan Blanck was one of the Vipers best players last season. I really liked Blanck, he played with lots of jump/energy, never took a shift off and was one of the more exciting players to watch last season. Blanck lead the team in points after Will Schumacher was traded at the trade deadline. Blanck and Kyren Gronick were depended on every night for scoring on a team that struggled offensively. Poor recruiting, poor coaching and poor management lead to the Vipers losing players and missing the playoffs with only fifteen wins in one of if not the worst season in franchise history. Blanck is the type of player the Vipers should be recruiting and not the average to below average players they have recruited in the past. The Vipers have recruited some good players in the past, but were not getting the elite players like Penticton, Brooks, Salmon Arm etc.
