old defenceman Shane Burns from the Vernon Vipers as future considerations, completing a trade from February 10th 2025.

On February 10th 2025 The Vernon Vipers acquired the playing rights to 20 year old forward Ryan Watt and 17 year old forward Finn Kallay from the Victoria Grizzlies in exchange for the playing rights to 20 year old forward Will Schumacher and 19 year old forward Georgios Stavrianeas and future considerations.
Burns played parts of the 2023-24 & 2024-25 seasons with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Steinbach Pistons before signing with the Brooks Bandits December 27th 2024. The Bandits traded Burns to the Vernon Vipers February 10th 2025 for forward Luke Bibby. Burns never reported to the Vipers and re-joined the Steinbach Pistons for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
