On This Day In Vernon Vipers History:

Nine years ago today (March 6th 2015) Vernon Vipers forward Riley Brandt scored the lone goal in Game 1 of the 1st round of the BCHL playoffs, while Jarrod Schamerhorn stopped all 24 shots for the shutout as the Vipers take Game 3 1-0 & a 3-0 series lead in front of 947 fans at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena in Merritt.

Another former Viper was in the news near the NHL trading deadline. Former Viper goaltender Ty Taylor was included in the Sam Carrick deal from Anahim to the Edmonton Oilers.
