On This Day In Vernon Vipers History:

Seventeen years ago today (March 20th 2007) Vernon Vipers forward Hunter

Bishop tied the game 3-3 at 19:02 of the 3rd period. Bishop would eventually score the overtime winner at 4:23 of the third overtime, giving the Vernon Vipers a 4-3 triple overtime win over the Trail Smoke Eaters in Game 4 of the 2nd round of the BCHL playoffs. Nick Olynyk made 45 saves in the win, while Cole Anderson made 50 saves in the loss in front of 1,117 fans at the Cominco Arena. Vernon would eventually win the best of seven playoff series 4 games to 1.

Has it really been seventeen years? I remember this game/goal like it was yesterday. That was one intense/nerve racking overtime. Hunter Bishop is one of my favourite Vipers of all-time. One of the most skilled/exciting Vipers of all-time.
