Wow has it been nineteen years? Oh man do I remember this game! What a game! This has to be one of my favourite playoff games. I was at this game and one of the more memorable playoff games I have witnessed live. Being a Vipers fan sitting in a sold out Memorial Arena felt almost intimidating. This game seemed to go on and on for ever and the first ever four overtime game I had been a part of. I remember both goaltenders stealing the show in all four overtimes with several big saves, including several breakaways. I remember the group of young men sitting below us piling up their empty beer cups along the glass in a pyramid as the game went on. As every overtime came and went, the crowd got smaller and smaller. By the time the game ended, the arena went from a complete sellout to less then half full. It seemed like this game would never end, until Mark Nelson from behind the net beat Corey Milan on the wrap around, ending the marathon and the series.
