I watched the Vipers game on my computer this evening. The Vipers looked and played much better and more of a complete game tonight over last night's win. I really liked Vernon's game. The Snakes played more disciplined, had a lot more puck possession and zone time, compared to last night where the Spruce Kings had the edge in play, more zone time & more puck possession. Give Prince George credit this weekend. For a team with only fifteen wins and last in the Interior, they sure play better then their record shows. The Vipers are 6-1 vs Prince George. These two teams play again Friday in Vernon. What a stupid schedule. Don't look now but the Vipers have won four straight and only two points behind Salmon Arm for 3rd place. The Vipers pick up their 32nd win of the season tonight, the first time winning 30 or more games since the 2019-20 season.

Reay was solid in net and Graham was correct in his broadcast on how important the goaltending has been of late. The Vipers struggled a bit with clearing the D zone which was evident with all the icing calls, but also did a good job staying out of the penalty box as you could tell PG was trying to keep things chippy.

Struck is FAST. I don’t know if he’s been battling the injury bug as he seems to have been in and out of the lineup lately but the Vipers would do well to look for more opportunities to use that weapon.

Once again the PP looked a little flat to start and with PG’s aggressive PK they were able to chip it out on the Vipers a lot. With that said the Vipers started to hold the zone better in the 3rd.

McCloskey’s 2 goals were huge and the Vipers did a good job of screening the goalie on both of them. Nice reward for the big D man by getting the puck to the net. I’d like to see the Vipers do more of that, take more frequent shots and do the dirty work in the paint.

Overall solid game for the Vipers and with some key players getting a much needed rest it’s a good confidence builder for the team as they near playoffs.

Thought the Vipers played faster, more disciplined (fewer penalties), and with more confidence. They were faster but not hectic. Good team play and win.
