I watched the Bucks/Vipers game on my computer on Hockey TV

I thought both teams were fairly even after the first two periods. Shots were 18-15 in favor of Cranbrook after two periods before the Bucks took over the game in the 3rd period and overtime. Cranbrook outplayed Vernon in the 3rd and overtime, outshot the Snakes 16-5 in the 3rd. Both goaltenders were good but Ethan David had to be sharp and was the busier of the two netminders, especially in the 3rd and overtime periods. The Bucks had two opportunities to win the contest in the shootout but couldn't beat Ethan David, while it come down to Luke Buss. Buss doesn't score and the games over, Buss scores and the shootout continues. Buss scores and extends the shootout. Ethan David stops Zeth Kindrachuk before Anthony Cliche scores the shootout winner to extend Vernon's winning streak to nine games.

This was another exciting and entertaining hockey game. Have the Vipers played a complete game on this road trip? No, but down bodies due to injuries and suspensions, somehow this team is finding ways to win and at the end of the day, a wins a win. This Viper team has relied on goaltending to steal them some games but also come up with some gutsy performances at key times in some of these hockey games on this road trip. Let's not forget the Snakes were playing their third game in four days and fifth game in nine days. Several players have stepped up and rised to the occasion on this road trip.

The Vipers were very dismal and along side Merritt were at the bottom of the standings at Christmas. This team was pretty bad and I said it several times, one of the worst Vernon teams I have seen. Many fans, including myself wanted to see a coaching change back in November. Since the trade deadline, this team has caught fire and playing their best hockey of the season. When's the last time the Vipers won nine in a row?

I'm shocked and am at loss for words as I didn't see this coming. From one of the worst teams in the league to where they are now? It's unbelievable! Look's like I'm eating crow for dinner again tomorrow lol

Go Vipers Go!

I know the Vipers won 21 in-a-row in the 2009-10 season! Go Vipers Go!

It's great that they've won 9 in a row. Other than the first game in the streak when they beat Merritt 9-1, all the games have been one goal victories. Other than two victories over Merritt, the Vipers have been outshot in every game. Merritt is such an outlier this season, having won only twice in 36 games.

In the 9 game winning streak, only two games ended in regulation: the 9-1 blowout over Merritt and the 3-2 win in Trail when they go outshot 51-19. Two more games ended in overtime and the other five ended in shootout wins. The Vipers' goaltending and defense has been amazing. Especially the goaltending in the shootouts.

The Vernon Vipers should take alot of pride in what they have accomplished. Considering the key players which are not in the line up such as shostak, macdonald, etc. Also having the difficulty of shifting there mind set from a losing mentally into winning mentally of we can do this and win this game. Finally the players are following the coaches systems and are believing in themselves as a team. Again, Vipers, having faith and believe. You can do this. GO,VIPERS,GO.. Maybe when the vipers come back to home ice we can all chant. GO,VIPERS,GO. just to let them know as fans we have there back. As fans we are that extra player cheering them on and driving there will to win another game for themselves and us home town fans.
