Read the story closely. Specifically the last quote from Seiya where he says "I look forward to wearing the jersey and to be given the chance to play with my brother again." Jo-jo is committed to Yale for next season, or so we thought. Will Jo-jo be back next season and then they both go to Yale for 2022-23? We can hope.

I really like this kid! He played in four games as an "AP" two years ago and didn't look out of place. Good signing for the Vipers!

It will be interesting to see if JoJo returns as a 20 yr old or goes to University in the fall?

With no hockey this winter, I have noticed several teams across the league already committing to players for the 2021-22 season. Some teams have committed to several players.

If scouting and recruiting was difficult last season, imagine what it is like this year.

It's possible that Jojo could be back next season. He turned 20 a couple of weeks ago and will reach 21 midway through next season, not ideal. The NCAA has granted an extra year of eligibility to current NCAA players due to Covid and this means there is a logjam for roster spots for incoming freshmen. JJ could take a year of transferable classes at UBCO and maintain his eligibility. But a year at a school like Yale is likely better, even redshirting, in the long run than another year in Junior A. I guess we'll just see.
