Do you have info about this Tier-2 Tuition-Free National Collegiate ...League ? Is the league meant for talented kids who didn't manage to get a full-ride scholarship from a major uni ?

I don't know anything on this league other then what I found online. I was hoping to run into Troy Mick and ask him about it.

I found this online

Now entering its 27th year, Hollydell Ice Arena operates 3 hockey clubs that field a total of 30 teams with players ranging from 6 to 20 years old. In addition to its hockey clubs, Hollydell runs a thriving learn to skate program, a large men’s league and is host to a vibrant figure skating club. Hollydell is also home to a range of regional events, including hockey tournaments and a synchronized skating competition. With the recent addition of Dunlop’s Bar & Grill, Hollydell is simultaneously home to high level ice sport athletes and a growing resource for the local community.

The National Collegiate Development Conference is the name of a Tier II Junior A (Tuition free) league announced on October 6, 2016. The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL )announced they had submitted a formal application with USA Hockey to be certified as a Tier II league and that the matter was rejected by USA Hockey at a special meeting held on the topic in early December 2016. The bid was rejected on two technicalities: the proposal was for 11 teams as opposed to 12 teams and a 50 game regular season as opposed to the required 60 minimum.
