April 30, 2020
Vernon, BC: The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that Dawson Holt has committed to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies for next season.
Holt, from Saskatoon, gets to play a little closer to home by joining the Huskies. He had quite an impact in his final year of junior with the Vipers. He racked up 47 points in 41 games for Vernon. Included in those points were 5 goals on the powerplay and most impressively 5 shorthanded goals. He would add 9 points in 5 games in the post season.
The Huskies play in the U Sports Canada West Conference. They have won 1 national championship but have made 19 appearances including their most recent one in 2017-18.
The Vipers would like to wish Dawson all the best in his future.

Great to see Dawson land a scholarship. Best of luck in your hockey futures!
The U of S Huskies won Canada West this year and went to the Canadian U Sports Championship in Halifax. The Huskies were upset 3-2 in their opening game of the championship on March 12. Shortly afterward the rest of the tournament was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The U of S team was ranked no. 2 in Canada.
