In the first scrimmage-game Team White defeated Team Black 8-4. Team Black had a 2-1 lead after the 1st period but were down 4-2 after the 2nd period. Team White would score the next two goals to grab a 6-2 lead before Team Black got within two goals, Team added two late goals to win 8-4. Team Black looked pretty good in the 1st but looked like a different team in the 2nd period and first half of the 3rd before getting to within two goals couldn't keep the puck out of their net. Team White didn't get off to a great start but really got their game going in the 2nd and 3rd periods scoring seven goals.

Here are the players that I thought stood out
Team Black:
Callum Volpe (2 goals) I thought had a strong game on the blueline. Chipped in with two goals, joined the rush-play often.
Niko Karamanis (2 goals) Looked good through out most of the game.
Nicholas Bondra showed some signs of skill at times.
Team White:
Jimmy Lambert (1 goal) Looked fairly good.
Riley Brandt (1 goal) Was one of the better players on both teams, played with a lot of jump, was really skating hard, involved in the play, was getting pucks to the net, looked good through out the game.
Tyler Maser (1 goal) Has some size, looked very good for most of the game.
Josh Maser (1 goal) Another kid with size, played very well in the win. (Josh & Tyler Maser are twins)
In the second scrimmage-game Team Red defeated Team Blue 7-2. Team Blue had a 2-1 lead after the 1st period, never scored again while Team Red scored three in the 2nd period and three more in the 3rd period to come away with the 7-2 victory. Team Blue had some chances but it was Team Red that carried a lot of the play, were creating-generating most of the opportunities. Ben Baker left the game after taking a big check-going hard into the end boards, was very slow to get up, needed help off the ice by the trainer, made his way to the dressing room and didn't return.
Goal Scorers:
Team Blue:
Nicholas Rasovic (2)
Gavin Hubbard was the lone goaltender for Team Blue allowed all seven goals.

Here are the players that I thought stood out
Team Blue:
Gavin Hubbard allowed all seven goals but made a few big saves through out the game.
Ben Baker caught my eye at times, played fairly well before going into the boards hard, and leaving the game.
Nicholas Rasovic (2 goals) Looked very good in the loss.
Team Red:
Ty Taylor Come in half way through the scrimmage-game, didn't give up a single goal was pretty solid between the pipes for Team Red.
Shane Kelly has some size, played a solid game on the blueline, looked good. Made a big defensive play in the 3rd to break up an odd man rush.
Hunter Zandee (1 goal) Looked good, had a strong game tonight. Was skating strong, moved the puck well, created-generated some chances.
Side Notes:
I heard from several people tonight, that the Vipers released goaltender Brendan Barry who was picked up-signed by Nanaimo.
Vipers captain Colton McCarthy who had committed to Sait University back in May was reported to return to the Vipers wasn't at Camp-on the roster tonight. I heard from a few people he will be heading to University this year.
