Former Viper Fraser Returns To Alaska:

Former Vernon Vipers forward, Curtis Fraser has returned to the Alaska Aces from the American Hockey League. Fraser was on loan for his second stint with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL, and returns to the Aces to prepare for their 2011 Kelly Cup playoff debut on Friday night. Fraser played parts of one season with the Vipers during the 2002-03 season.

Forward Curtis Fraser has returned to the Alaska Aces from the American Hockey League, Head Coach Brent Thompson announced on Tuesday. Fraser was on loan for his second stint with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL, and returns to the Aces to prepare for their 2011 Kelly Cup playoff debut on Friday night. The Aces begin their post-season on Friday, April 15th in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals at Sullivan Arena. Fraser, 29, rejoins the Aces after being loaned to Lake Erie for the second time this season on March 31. In his second tour of duty with the Monsters, he played in six games, scoring a goal in Sunday’s regular season finale – helping Lake Erie finish fourth in the Western Conference. In 20 games this year with Alaska, Fraser has posted 14 points (6g, 8a). He has registered 12 points in his last 13 games, including the game-winning, power play goal in his most recent Aces game. To start this season he played in 30 games with Lake Erie, furnishing seven points (4g, 3a) and 42 penalty minutes. Fraser has played in 10 AHL playoff games, and 16 ECHL post-season appearances.
