Doyle Cup Game 6 Preview: Vernon @ Spruce Grove:

Tonight is Game 6 of the Doyle Cup as the BCHL Fred Page Cup Champion Vernon Vipers have a chance at winning their third straight Doyle Cup Championship and eighth Doyle Cup in franchise history with a win over the AJHL Enerflex Champion Spruce Grove Saints. You can listen to tonight's game live on 107.5 Kiss FM with Todd Miller and Don Klepp starting with the pre game show at 5:45 PM

Key’s and Notes to tonight’s game:

-The Vipers dont need to know how important tonight's game is and whats at stake. A win and the Vipers will win their third straight Doyle Cup and eighth in team history and advance to their ninth National Championship

-The Vipers have to remember they had a chance in Game 6 last season to close out the Spruce Grove Saints season, but the Saints forced a Game 7

-Vernon has to be ready for a strong start from the Saints, Vernon needs to try and weather the storm early and battle hard and not allow the Saints to stay in the hockey game

-The Vipers need to slow the game down early and take the crowd out of the game

-The Vipers know the Saints will be playing with a little desperation, so need to try and jump on the Saints early

-Vernon has the 12th best powerplay in the BCHL playoffs

-The Vipers have alot of confidence playing on the road with a 9-1 playoff road record

-Vernon has to try and weather the storm early and play a solid road game

-The Vipers have the 6th best penalty kill during the BCHL post season

-Vernon has alot of confidence playing on the road and winning the first two games in Spruce Grove

-The Vipers need to keep things simple and play a solid defensive road game

-The Vipers have scored first in four out of the five games in this series

-Vernon has to try and find a way to stop Scott Allen who has (3-1-4) in three games vs the Vipers this series
