"Parents Weekend" Nanaimo 3 Vernon 2 Overtime

The Nanaimo Clippers improve to 31-9-1-0 after a 3-2 overtime victory over the 20-18-1-4 Vernon Vipers at the Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo.

I watched the Vipers game on my computer this evening. This was a very entertaining hockey game as Vernon held their own vs a very strong/good Nanaimo team. The Vipers played very well and could have easily won tonight. Both goaltenders were good while the Vipers took way too many penalties. Clippers go 1-8 with the man advantage. Isaac Tremblay with a chance to put the game away was stopped on a breakaway in overtime. Vipers pick up a point in a tough loss. The Snakes are two points back of Wenatchee, four points back of Prince George & Salmon Arm and five points back of West Kelowna. Vipers with a quick turn around, host the Trail Smoke Eaters Monday afternoon.
