Here's a 20 yr old veteran that put up 53 points in 55 games last season in Ontario and was acquired over the summer to add some scoring to the Vipers lineup. Krulicki never really stood out as that veteran scoring forward, didn't do a whole lot while with his short time with the Vipers. I know it's early and he only got to play in three games but I was expecting him to lead the way offensively. Best of luck in Alberta.
I ask what does this say about the quality of the recruiting skills of the Vipers?
I was thinking the same thing. Since the changing of ownership in 2018 look at how many recruits/committed players have been released/traded, how many players have been brought in from the Western Hockey League and lasted a week or two and then gone back to the Western Hockey League. It seems like more roster moves have been made every season over the past few years compared to previous years with previous ownership. I have questioned the Vipers recruiting/scouting since ownership change in 2018. It seems like a lot of the Vipers recruits/committed players have been average at best. Just look at the Penticton's, Salmon Arm's, West Kelowna's and some other teams and look at their recruits/committed players compared to Vernon's. Since the 2019-20 season the Vipers have struggled and been average at best and changes need to be made. The Vipers need to be more competitive, recruit/scout better players and put a much better product/team on the ice. After a very dismal/disappointing season last year, I was hoping for changes this season and I know it's early, but things don't look much better this season.
When the new ownership came in they decided to micro manage the coach Ferner and what did that do.Take this job and shove it. Jason is facing the same issue. Ownership should let the coaches do there job.
