I watched tonight's Centennials-Vipers game on my computer.
The Vipers carried an edge in play but the 1st period wasn't all Vernon. The Centennials held their own at times until giving up two early 2nd period goals, that kind of blew the doors open and the Snakes never really looked back. You have to feel for this young Merritt team and it's fans this season but also the poor people of Merritt who lost everything due to the floods earlier this year. I wasn't sure what kind of game or outcome to expect, due to the fact that the last time these two teams met, the Vipers needed a shootout to get the 4-3 win and the Centennials haven't been winning many games this season but seem to be playing better hockey in the second half of the season and keeping some games some what close.
The Vipers have seven of their first twenty five games, have now won sixteen of their last twenty games. The Vipers are a point up on Cranbrook and only four points back of West Kelowna and eight points back of Prince George. Guess who Vernon plays next? West Kelowna & Prince George.
Go Vipers Go!
This years Centennials are looking like one of the worst teams ever to play in this league.
