Toneff was given a Gross Misconduct at the buzzer during Friday's 7-1 loss to the visiting West Kelowna Warriors.

Toneff is in his first season with the Merritt Centennials. The Centennials named Toneff Head Coach/GM Decemember 22nd 2021 after spending the previous two and a half seasons in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League as an Assistant Coach with the Humboldt Broncos. Toneff spent parts of three seasons in the BCHL playing for Alberni Valley, West Kelowna & Trail from 2010-2014. Toneff was an Assistant Coach with the Trail Smoke Eaters from 2015-2017.
