This management team are complete geniuses. Trade away a guy tied for 1st in scoring on your team when they can't score already.

The Vernon Vipers have acquired future considerations from the Cowichan Valley Capitals in exchange for Max Bulawka.
Did Colby Feist and Brett Fudger not report to Cowichan? So the Vipers owed the Capitals someone else in return?
I wonder what happened to Seth Bafaro?
This trade didn't make any sense when first announced and now that Seth Bafaro is not part of this deal, I really don't like this trade.
At first it it was announced the Vipers had acquired the playing rights to Seth Bafaro and future considerations. Not only were the Vipers hoping he would report to Vernon but it wasn't a given. Now that Bafaro is not part of this deal, the Vipers traded Bulawka for future considerations? Why would you trade a veteran four year BCHL player who tied for the team lead in points when the Vipers have struggled offensively this pre-season? This doesn't make any sense.
I had picked Bulawka as my choice for captain this year. His four years in the league and experience was enough for my pick as captain. Bulawka was hit and miss in his short time in Vernon. After coming over in a trade with the West Kelowna Warriors last year at the BCHL trade deadline, Bulawka looked real good one night, but then average for the next two night's. I still liked the kid and with a young team this season, was good to have someone like this to lead a young team not only on the ice but off the ice.
Do you really think Bulawka will report to Cowichan? The Capitals were one of the league's top teams last season but after Mike Vandekamp left for the Alberta Junior Hockey League this summer, many of the Capitals veteran players have left or been traded. Since Vandekamp left the Caps are already on their second coach.
Another local (Kelowna) kid gone. Shame, shame, shame
