Since joining Lockwood Doyle in the fall of 2014, Jonathan obtained his Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2017 and has worked on a wide variety of individual and corporate engagements, including compilations and reviews.
Prior to Lockwood Doyle, Jonathan gained accounting experience in various business fields, including working as an audit staff for an accounting firm (Anchorage, Alaska), an assistant accountant for an agricultural retail (Melbourne, Australia) and an accountant for a public practice (High River, Alberta).
Olthuis last played hockey in 2013 with the Melbourne Mustangs. The Melbourne Mustangs (formally Mustangs IHC) is an Australian semi-professional ice hockey team from Melbourne, Victoria. The Mustangs have been a member of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) since 2011.
After four years at the University of Alaska-Anchorage (2006-2010) Olthuis played the next six seasons in four different leagues with six different teams (Idaho Steelheads, Alaska Aces, Augusta RiverHawks, Dayton Gems, Tulsa Oilers & the Melbourne Mustangs).
The Alberta Junior Hockey League Bonnyville Pontiacs traded Olthuis to Vernon December 2nd 2004 for future considerations. Olthuis played parts of two seasons in Vernon (2004-2006) In 67 regular season games with the Vipers going (45-16-2) with 6 shutouts.
