The 34-5-0-0 Coquitlam Express make there first and only regular season visit to Kal Tire Place, are coming off a 4-3 victory Friday in West Kelowna. Tonight's the second game of a four game road trip, where the Express have won five straight away from home. Coquitlam has won fifteen straight with there last loss was a 2-0 loss November 10th in Powell River. Coquitlam sits atop the Mainland division and league standings. The Express are twenty three points ahead of 2nd place Chilliwack in the Mainland division and eight points ahead of Penticton for the league lead in overall standings.

My prediction is Coquitlam wins 5 - 1. They are just that much better than the Vipers. The numbers simply don't lie. Coquitlam's win/loss is 35/5 Vernon is 20/16. Coquitlam has 11 players with 20 or more points, we have a mere 3. They have scored 150 goals while allowing only 77, Vipers at 101/106 give up as many as they struggle to score. I will be cheering the Vipers on tonight but I am being realistic. We may be witnessing the team that wins the BCHL this year if they continue to play this way & can stay healthy. Saying that... GO VIPERS GO... please prove my prediction wrong.
After lots of big talk & hype the Glen's & McKee have assembled a very average hockey team. Their poor recruiting, poor decision making, nepotism & unwillingness to recognize our deficiencies early enough has created this. It is frustrating to see how far this once storied franchise has fallen. While the Vipers can be entertaining they should not get far in the post season. Again... please prove me wrong.
The Vipers hosted 11 playoff games last season and had over 23000 fans attend those games. Reality will set in if we stay the course cause we'll probably only see 2 playoff games this year which will mean Big revenue $$$$ lost due to poor management. Hope I'm wrong but we should know where we stand after this weekend
The Glens and McKee have driven this franchise into the ground! They have no regard for Vernon or their fans! Next year they will pay for their blatant disregard of the fans and players, with a mass exodus of season ticket holders, I for one and all of my friends
The Coquitlam Express have acquired 20 yr old defenceman Joey Berkopec from the Merritt Centennials today for future considerations.
The penticton vees, the trail smoke eaters, the wenatchee wild and even the merritt cententials all where the go to teams to win the interior division championship,RIGHT???? LAST YEAR. BUT,BUT,BUT. GUESS WHAT??? a no nothing team during the season, with according to our hockey experts had a no chance in hell of getting past salmon arm silverbacks who had our number all year would become the Interior Division Champs. So what is my point. My point is playoffs are like starting the season over , it is a entirely different beast. Why??? because COACHES are building there teams for the playoffs throughout the year with the trying to make them better in all assets of the game so during the playoffs they stand atleast a chance of doing something special and this year I am hoping our coach can do just that. Time will tell. GO, VIPERS, GO.
