The Merritt Centennials have traded former Vernon Vipers defenceman Doug Scott to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Humboldt Broncos.
The Broncos will be Scott's sixth team in three seasons. Scott played last season with the Cowichan Capitals before being traded to the Alberta Junior Hockey League Grande Prairie Storm. The Storm traded Scott to the Vipers September 3rd 2019 for Ryan MacLean. Scott had one goal in six games in Vernon was traded to Merritt October 12th 2019. Scott had one assist in ten games with the Centennials.

The Merritt Centennials have sent Douglas Scott (00) to the Humboldt Broncos of the SJHL in exchange for future considerations.
Scott started the season with the Vernon Vipers before being acquired via trade. He came to the Cents with 6 games under his belt and 1 goal to his name, and in 10 games with the Centennials tallied 1 assist.
The Centennials would like to wish Doug all the best in his hockey future with the Broncos, and thank him for his contributions to the team and the Nicola Valley in his time here.
