New look Vipers ready for home opener
Sep 20, 2019
After a long wait, Vernon Vipers fans finally get to see their team.
The Vipers have played their first three games on the road since starting the BCHL season Sept. 6, but tonight they have their home opener against the Victoria Grizzlies at Kal Tire Place at 7 p.m.
Jason McKee, former coach of the AJHL’s Spruce Grove Saints and WHL’s Vancouver Giants, is the Snakes’ new head coach and GM, taking over from Mark Ferner.
The team has two wins and one loss under McKee so far.
The voice of the Vipers, Graham Turnbull, talks about the team’s style under McKee.
You can listen to Graham with the play by play of the game starting at 6:45 p.m. on 107.5 Beach Radio.
Tonight’s game is sponsored by Beach Radio, and we’ll be doing our annual Tailgate Party before the game (5:30-6:30) as well as our Grand Prize Draw for Gas for a Year during the first intermission.
The Vipers are also in action Saturday evening, hosting the Powell River Kings.
