Kowalski Scores Triple OT Winner – The Vernon Vipers advanced to the next round of the BCHL playoffs with a dramatic finish in Game 5 against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Vernon forward Matt Kowalski finally finished the game after 116 minutes of play (two full games) with a very slick backhand under the bar.
Viper goalie Aidan Porter and Silverbacks net-minder Ethan Langenegger combined for 100 saves in the final game of the series. Only Trail and Vernon are the two interior teams to have advanced to the next round of the playoffs that will start next Friday.
