Vipers did not deserve to win that game. Losing a 3-0 lead like that. They need to be better. Porter especially needs to be much better. Hopefully we pull some better goalies next year.

What a horrible comment!!! You could also say that the Wild did not deserve to win because they allowed the Vipers to jump on them with 3 goals. On paper it was a very even game, shots were similar 29-25 and power plays were not a factor (Vipers 0/2 Wild 0/1). Vernon went into a very tough building, played a very good team and have earned at least a split in the first two. The Vipers and their true fans are very happy after this game. Please do not lose sight of the fact that the Wild are a very good team, well coached and finished higher in the regular season. This will be a long series with lots of momentum swings and wins will be hard to get. Go Vipers Go!!!

A win is a win. If you're a Vipers fan, support them. They at least deserve support!!

I don’t know what game this poster was at (Hockey TV not even an alternative to live) for this game. The chasing of their #1 Wild goalie just 14 minutes in, a verbal reaming by Wenatchee’s coach at intermission, and a very intimidating fan base, this game was a hard fought tilt for Vernon. Porter did a “fab” job with the effectiveness that Wenatchee shows in their own building, reading the boards and knowing their corners. Reminder the goalie is the last resort, when there is no forecheck, and the d breakdown it’s then up to the goalie to shine. Don’t put blame on an individual for a team sport.

Its probably Mr Anonymous from a few posts back that said Wenatchee in 5 games and that the Vipers had no chance. This classless clown knows nothing about this team and has probably never watched more than a couple games to realize how good they are. GO VIPERS!!

Go Vipers!!

There was nothing rude or "horrible" about my comment. Im purely stating my opinion. The vipers had a very rough season and it has not been a good team up until January. I'm not saying they're not good and capable to win, I'm just saying they have the capacity to be better. I'm a huge vipers fan. I've seen hundreds of games. Me stating that I predicted Wenatchee in 5 games was also a fair comment. You can say vipers in 6 or 7 but I can't say Wenatchee? I get being a fan but sometimes it doesn't always go how you'd like it to. I hope the vipers do win the series but you are all just being blind to the fact that they may not be the team to win. Have a splendid day.

If you were a huge Vipers fan as you say you are you have obviously missed the fact that they never played with a full lineup until the middle of February when they beat the Vees in Penticton. Injuries, suspensions, players leaving for the WHL and having AP's in the lineup every night contributed to the team being average. As for Porter he's played pretty well for a rookie in this league after playing prep school hockey last year. There's a few blind facts for you

Alright Bobby. Here's some information for you. You're never going to have a full lineup in hockey the whole season. Players being injured is not something that is just affecting the vipers, every single hockey team gets plagued by injuries at one time or another so maybe take that into consideration. As for Porter, he is a goalie that needed another year of prep before being in this league. Of course Ferner playing him repeatedly and in the regular season and non stop in the play offs is enough to tire any one out. Give the other guy a chance at least in the regular season. It's not like it's pro hockey it's juniors. Let me know if you have another other things that I so blindly ignored thanks.

Tonight's game is a perfect example. The team needs to be better than that. You can't get shut out in playoff hockey. Porter let's in 3 goals on 16 shots? The defense was not there either. Lots of missed opportunities from the vipers tonight. Poor showing of effort.

Sorry Porter with 2 goals on 15 shots I watched the game I don't know why I instantly forgot about the Empty not goal. My apologies.

Austin Park, Wenatchee Wild. Look at his stats. He is one of the better goalie's in this league. He played a good game and deserves the win. Hockey, that is hockey when you meet up with a hot goalie, Porter has done it many times over the season. It is only game three coming up and there is still lots of hockey left. Should be fun, SO, GO, VIPERS, GO.
