Victoria Grizzlies forward Jamie Rome has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 11, the league announced Monday.
Rome racked up four goals and three assists in three games, all wins for the Grizzlies. The native of Calgary had a goal and a helper in a 6-3 road win over Cowichan to start the week and he followed that with a goal and two assists in a 7-2 against Cowichan where he was 1st Star. Rome took 3rd Star in his final game of the week when he tallied twice, including a shorthand effort, in a 4-3 overtime victory against Wenatchee.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound forward now has 21 goals and 39 assists for 60 points which puts him second in Grizzlies scoring and seventh overall in the BCHL.
