McCarthy Joins Vipers:

18 year old forward Colton McCarthy has joined the Vernon Vipers.  As of this morning McCarthy was added to the Vipers roster, made his Vipers debut this afternoon scoring once in a 5-1 win over Victoria.

McCarthy recently quit the Western Hockey League's Prince Albert Raiders after going pointless in eight games.  The Raiders acquired McCarthy in September in a trade with the Moose Jaw Warriors.  McCarthy played the last two seasons in Moose Jaw playing in 102 games with the Warriors collecting (8-goals-9-assists-17-points).

The Vipers talked with the Raiders in October about acquiring McCarthy.  Former Prince Albert Head Coach Cory Clouston at the time of the situation accused the Vipers of tampering, Here is that story
