Huskies Sign Former Viper Forward Collins:

The the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) Kassel Huskies have signed former Vernon Vipers forward Mike Collins.  The Huskies are a professional ice hockey team based in Kassel, Hesse, Germany that play in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga Hockey League.

Collins finished his fourth and final season at Merrimack College last season before turning pro in early March.  Collins signed a Professional Try Out (PTO) contract with the AHL Providence Bruins on March 11th 2014. Collins went pointless in four games with the Bruins was released on March 27th 2014.  On the same day Collins signed his second pro contract with the American Hockey League Iowa Wild on before being released after going pointless in six games.  Collins played two season's in Vernon (2008-2010) In 119 regular season games with the Vipers Collins recorded (55-goals-71-assists-126-points).

Huskies taken the second contingent place with American Mike Collins

Other increase for the team Kassel Huskies. The 24 years old Mike Collins born in Boston will attack from now on for the Huskies.

Collins is 185 cms and weighs 82 kg. He shoots on the left and counts as a real Allrounder which is to be found everywhere on the ice and can work equally well forwards as well as to the back.

In the last season he signed his first professional contract in the organization Boston Bruins, his hometown and came near Providence Bruins, to the farm team of the club NHL as well as with the Iowah game to the AHL for his first applications. Before he never played during four years in the NCAA for the Merrimack Warriors and scorte here in four years less than 10 gates or 25 points. His best season played Collins in the season 2012/2013 when he achieved 38 points in 38 plays for the Warriors and was with it for the second time as a result of the Topscorer of the team.

Before his change in the organization of the Bruins he stated the Warriors in the matter of shot gates, Assists, shots on the gate as well as Powerplaytore.

For Mike Collins the Huskies will be the first station in Europe.

Huskies Headcoach Rico Rossi calls Collins a complete player who disposes of a good train to the gate and a lot of quality.
