Smokies forward Lucchini a force on the road in POW performance

Trail Smoke Eaters forward Jake Lucchini has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 12, the league announced Tuesday.
Lucchini helped the Smokies to four of a possible six points on the road. He started the trip assisting on two goals, including the game-winner, and scoring two of his own in a 1st Star showing in a 5-2 win over the Powell River Kings. The Trail native finished the road swing scoring once and setting up another in a 7-4 win in Surrey. The 6-foot, 176-pound forward's six points tied all scorer for the week and he is currently tied for the team lead in scoring with 14 points.
