PRINCE GEORGE, BC – The Prince George Spruce Kings today announced that they have acquired a 1992 born defenceman from the Vernon Vipers of the British Columbia Hockey League in exchange for future considerations. Bennett Hambrook played last season in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League with the Nelson Leafs before making the jump to the BCHL at the start of this season.

Bennett Hambrook, a 6' 00" 185 pound left-handed defenceman, has played three games this season with the Vernon Vipers and also played two games last season as an AP with the Trail Smoke Eaters. Last year with the Nelson Leafs, Hambrook played in 41 games picking up 13 points and 242 minutes in penalties.

Hambrook is expected to join the team later today as the team is on the road for games against the Penticton Vees on Tuesday night and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks the following night. The Spruce Kings will return to the Coliseum for three games this weekend including two against the Vernon Vipers.
