Royal Bank Cup: Victoria 5 Kingston 0

I was at tonights Victoria-Kingston game. Ive been pretty disapointed with the attendance at the RBC so far. Victoria has played both weekend night games and havnt been the biggest of crowds. Where are all the Grizz fans? I thought it would have been sold out. So far I have seen no advertising around town for the RBC, no signs, posters or anything on the RBC. Wasnt much of a game, as the Grizzlies outplayed and outworked Kingston for most of the game. The Voyageurs couldnt seem to get anything going, had troubles getting pucks to the net all night, and when they did, their was no finish in or around the net. Kingston was outhit all night. So far after watching Victoria play its two first games of the RBC, the Grizzlies are a team to watch and look out for. But... I dont think the Grizz played a Humboldt team opening night, that played its best hockey. I think if your a Broncos fan, the Broncos could and will be better in their next contest. The question is, has Victoria played a strong team yet? After a tough loss last night, the Grizz looked very strong and deadly tonight. Jeff Forsythe looked very good on the backend. Kingston needs to work on their breakout, and finish around the net. Alot of missed opportunities on some good scoring chances. I talked to one Voyageurs season ticket holder who made the trip up to BC, he was saying Kingston has the best attendance through out the league. On average the Voyageurs average 437 fans per game, wich is a league best.
