Dahlqvist started the 2025-26 season with the Coquitlam Express. The Express traded Dahlqvist to the Vernon Vipers November 10th 2025 for a Player Development Fee. Dahlqvist went pointless in 2 games with the Vernon Vipers.

I have been watching the Vipers game tonight on FloHockey and started to realize I haven't seen Dahlqvist in the lineup the past few weeks. I went to the teams roster and he has been removed. I'm sure he was on there a few days ago but somehow I missed him being removed from the roster. Vipers fans never got a chance to see him play at home as the two games he played in were on the road.
This isn't the first player this year that was recently acquired and then removed from the roster. I'm not a scout, coach or general manager but I have to question who is doing the scouting on these kids, that only play a short time and then are no longer on the roster. Is Matt Cooke getting suckered into these trades from other GM's? It just seems to me the Vipers aren't getting the same elite or skilled players a lot of the other teams are getting or signing.
Maybe the wrong guys are being given the opportunities
