It is not as thou we recruit bad players as being part of the missing puzzle . I think the Glens have to sit down and think real hard what they feel is the missing link?? Is it just the league with its constant revolving door or is it the coaches and there style which the players are not happy with or is just the structure of this new league which is not making players happy and secure. Lets face Glens something needs to change // happen.
John is the GM he makes all decisions and is the non hockey guy making all hockey guy decisions. Same guy who ran off Ferner after taking us to the league final and oh yea, a few RBC cups....Good luck with recruiting now....Add local guy Sparrow to the list of could not take it anymore! That list is long. The only thing holding this thing together is the Business guy....
With all the recruiting of top U18 players happening, and none of them to Vernon, it looks like next year could be a re-run of this past season. But it's all good because Vernon had the second highest attendance in the league, so there's no need to recruit. The fans will continue to fill the seats even with a 10th place team.
A LOT of the players who left early this past year went on to have great seasons with other teams. It definitely was not the recruited class. Sparrow knows what he’s looking at and he was the direct contact for many of the recruits. Unfortunately, the head coach is clueless regarding how to develop and handle players and so you end up with this mess. And if the same guy is in charge, you can expect the same or worse results next season.
