Dowhaniuk played parts of the past six seasons with the Western Hockey League Prince George Cougars before the Vernon Vipers traded future considerations to the Victoria Grizzlies October 1st 2024 for the playing rights of Keaton Dowhaniuk. Dowhaniuk left the Vernon Vipers November 12th 2024 to return to the Western Hockey League. In 11 games this season with the Vipers, Dowhaniuk collected (1-goal-4-assists-5-points).
