The Vernon Vipers improve to 9-4-0-0 after a 4-1 victory over the 5-7-1-1 Merritt Centennials in front of 458 fans at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena in Merritt.
I was planning on making the trip to Merritt this afternoon with a friend, but he had to work until 1pm so I ended up staying home and watching the game on my computer. The Vipers were lucky to win as the Centennials were the better team and for most of the afternoon. Ethan David was solid between the pipes and kept the Snakes in the hockey game, especially in the 2nd period. Vernon looked sloppy, making several mistakes. A wins a win and will take it. Vipers snap their two game losing streak, have played five games in the past ten days and play again on Wednesday and Friday.
