Chanter played parts of one season in Vernon with the 2013-14 Vernon Vipers. The Vipers traded Jason Bird and future considerations (Logan Mick) to the Merritt Centennials January 3rd 2014 for Dylan Chanter. In 19 games with the Vipers, Chanter collected (0-goals-0-assists-0-points). Chanter went on to play four seasons at the University of New Hampshire from 2014-2018.
