The Trail Smoke Eaters improve to 12-7-1-0 after a 3-2 shootout win over the 6-10-3-3 Vernon Vipers at the Cominco Arena in Trail. Vernon outshoots Trail 39-33
I watched the Smoke Eaters/Vipers game on Hockey tv tonight.
This was a very entertaining and exciting hockey game and one of the better games the Vipers have played this season. Both teams had lots of quality chances with end to end rushes. Both goaltenders played very well. I sure hope JoJo Tanaka-Campbell is ok.
Matthew Culling, Luke Pakulak, Roan Clarke, Talon Zakall & Nicholas Kent looked good for Vernon.
Jordan Henry, Joel Barton, Zach Michaelis, Evan Fradette, Brady Hunter, Quinn Disher and Teddy Lagerback looked good for Trail.
The Vipers have lost six games in overtime and the shootout this year.
The Snakes have lost thirteen of their last sixteen games.

Unfortunately sounds like a good game by the Vipers but as the case has been all year we lack 3 or 4 players who can put the puck in the net.
