The West Kelowna Warriors have traded former Vernon Vipers forward/affiliated player Ryan Upson to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Notre Dame Hounds.
Upson committed to the Warriors in 2019 and played 54 games with West Kelowna during the 2019-20 season collected (3-goals-9-assists-12-points).
Upson attended the Vernon Vipers 2018 Spring Camp played 9 games as an "AP" with the 2018-19 Vernon Vipers collected (0-goals-1-assist-1-point).

WEST KELOWNA, B.C. – The West Kelowna Warriors Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club have acquired forward Jarrett Penner from the Notre Dame Hounds in exchange for Ryan Upson.
Penner, 19, comes to the Warriors after spending the past two seasons with the Notre Dame Hounds(SJHL). The Saskatoon, SK native recorded 19 goals and 18 assists in 53 games played with the Hounds. “We look forward to adding Jarrett to our roster”, stated Warriors Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “He is an impact player who will help us up front right away. He has a good skill set to go along with his large frame”.
Ryan Upson leaves the Warriors with three goals and nine assists this season in 54 games played. “We would like to thank Ryan for his time here in West Kelowna”, said Warriors Head Coach Simon Ferguson. “Ryan is a great person and we wish him nothing but the best with Notre Dame”.
The Warriors would like to welcome Jarrett and his family to the Warriors organization and the City of West Kelowna. The Warriors also would like to wish Ryan Upson all the best moving forward with the Notre Dame Hounds.
