A Message From Ownership
June 17, 2020
To the best fans in the BCHL,
First off thank you for your continued support and dedication during these very unusual times.
We have ALL been affected by this worldwide crisis in one way or another and we wanted to let you know that your health and well being is first and foremost and the most important thing to us.
With that being said, we continue to work towards what we hope will be a BCHL hockey season in some form. At this point we have no idea what this will look like however we can assure you that we are working with the BCHL, The BC Government and the City of Vernon to establish plans and procedures should we get the go ahead
Hockey Canada has lifted the ban for on ice activity however there are many restrictions still in place and we will be working within the Via Sport Guidelines and those set out by the provincial health authority going forward.
Our season ticket holders, volunteers and corporate partners are the lifeline of our organization and we want to make sure that we are providing a safe and fun environment once we do return.
At this point we continue to be limited by the BC health authority however we are hopeful with other sectors continuing to open and restrictions being lifted that we will have a season and be able to see you all soon.
Once we know what our guidelines are we will work with each one of our season ticket holders and partners to provide the best experience possible in the safest way while continuing to follow the guidelines of the BC health authority and via sport.
Although we can not predict the future, we are very optimistic about the upcoming season and are hopeful that if the “flattening of the curve” continues we will have hockey back at Kal Tire Place very soon!
Our office and the building are still closed and not available for public access however if you have any questions please feel free to call our office at 250-542-6022.
Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you very soon!
Vipers Ownership, Management and Staff.

It's nice to finally hear from the Vipers. I understand it's summer, and were not in "The Normal" with what's been going on with COVID-19 But it would still be nice to hear from the Vipers at least once a month. The last time we heard anything from the Vipers regarding COVID-19 was back on March 17th. With everything up in the air regarding to COVID-19 and sports nobody knows what the future holds. What I'm trying to say is some news is better then no news. I have always said you have to keep your fans in the loop, no matter what time of year it is and no matter what's going on. I have to admit it was nice getting weekly updates with the Vipers "Year end award winners" as well as recently updates regarding the new "committed players". I must admit I think it would be better if you make those announcements maybe once a week type thing instead of every second day. Releasing the new players every second day, all your news will be over and done with within two-three weeks, depending how many new "committed players" you have coming in and still several months away from the start of the season, that's if there is a season. If someone from the Vipers reads my blog, maybe Graham Turnbull or Don Klepp could setup some interviews either hand written or over webcam and chat with the new committed Vipers. An interview with Jason McKee regarding the new recruits, upcoming season etc would also be appreciated and an update regarding what players are returning from last years team. Let's all stay safe this summer and keep our fingers crossed, hoping there's a BCHL season this fall.
Go Vipers Go!
