Class of 2023 Bulldogs Announced
NEW HAVEN. Conn. – Seven new student-athletes from three different states and one Canadian province join the Yale men's hockey team for the 2019-20 season.
The new class includes four forwards, two defensemen and a goalie. Five of the newcomers skated last year in the British Columbia Hockey League while one was in the United States Hockey League and another in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. There are three from Massachusetts, two New Yorkers and one each from Ohio and Saskatchewan.

Received West Kelowna Warriors Rookie of the Year as well as the West Kelowna Warriors Academic Achievement Award for 2018-2019.
Belmont Hill School (Belmont, MA): Led Belmont to Elite 8 birth in 2016-17… Made over 1,500 saves on .921 SP in 3 seasons. Received the Belmont Hill Ken Martin Hockey Trophy for Most Valuable Player in junior season in 2017-2018. Awarded ISL All-League honors in both sophomore and junior seasons. Also played baseball and received ISL 2nd Team All-League in 2017-2018.
Personal: Connor Patrick Hopkins is the son of Paul and Charlene Hopkins… Father played football at Bentley. Brother, Chris, plays baseball at Bentley.

Rivers School (Weston, MA): Played center from 2014-18 for Coach Shawn McEachern… Recorded 51-56-107 in 117 games through 4 seasons… Captained team to a St. Sebastian's Tournament and Belmont Hill/ Nichols tournament championship along with a NEPSAC elite 8 semi-final… Earned All-ISL and All-New England awards… Reached elite 8 finals junior year and the small school finals sophomore year… All- ISL honorable mention… School Honor Roll junior and senior years.
Note: Notched 32-40-72 in 62 games through two fall seasons for the River Rats under Ross Pasquatonio.

Man, Port is a DUMP wonder how things are sounding behind the scenes if people are leaving such an illustrious program and prime location for Port Alberni!
