I watched tonight's game online. The Vipers looked good for the first two periods, jumped out to a 2-0 lead before giving up the next five goals. Both teams looked fairly even through out the first two periods before the wheels fell off in the 3rd. The Vipers got into penalty trouble in the 3rd didn't look like the same team. Cowichan's two quick back to back goals in the 3rd to give them the 3-2 lead seemed to change momentum and the Capitals rolled from there on in. Vernon has lost three straight in Cowichan. The Vipers four game road trip continues Saturday in Victoria against a very solid Grizzlies team that looks good on home ice. The Vipers better be at their best tomorrow for a tough one in Victoria.

"The Vipers got into penalty trouble"... a reoccurring issue and costs them valuable points. Ferner's teams have always been undisciplined with little consequence for bad decisions. Discipline in today's game is just as important as speed and skill. The successful teams do not run around taking selfish/unnecessary penalties. Look no further than Penticton for a good example.

Mark Ferner, you must send a message to your players that bad penalties are unacceptable and have your player benched for a game. Fred Harbison would be absolutely furious with a player and be talked to for taking dumb penalties, The success of your team relys on that fact. We as fans cannot continue too see this pratice of dumb penalties continue OR your ability to coach should be in question.

Regarding the other two comments......are you sure you're a Vipers fan? You seem more of a Vee's fan with a man crush on their head coach.
