Penticton Vees forward Dakota Conroy has been named the BCHL Player of the Week for the week ending April 19, the league announced Monday.

Conroy led all scorers for the week and capped off the BCHL season by scoring the Fred Page Cup-winning goal in overtime as the Vees defeated the Nanaimo Clippers in Game 6.

The native of Edmonton wound up with a goal and five assists in four games, all Vees victories. Conroy had a helper in the Vees first win of the Finals and then set up three goals as they evened the series in Game 4. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound forward set up one of two third-period goals for the Vees in Game 6 and 2:06 into OT, he got the series-clinching goal.

Conroy wound up with six goals and 13 assists in the postseason, tying him for third in the BCHL.
