The Penticton Vees & defending Interior Division Champion Vernon Vipers will meet for the ninth time this season (Exhibition & Regular season) and the second straight year come playoffs starting with Game 1 of the Interior Division Finals tonight in Penticton.  The Vees won the regular season series over Vernon 6-1.  You can listen to tonight's game live with Graham Turnbull starting with the pre-game show at 5:45pm on 107.5 Kiss FM.

The Vernon Vipers make their fifth visit of the season to the South Okanagan Events Centre.  Vernon's only win of the regular season over the Vees was a 2-1 victory on February 11th in Penticton.  The Vipers went 1-3 at the SOEC this season.  The Vipers swept the 3rd place Merritt Centennials in four games in the Interior Division Semifinals after a 6-5 victory Saturday in Merritt advance to the Interior Division Finals for a second straight season.  This is the Vipers fifth trip to the Interior Division Finals in five of the last seven seasons.  This is the 22nd time these two teams have met come playoffs with Vernon winning twelve of the twenty one previous series to date. Vernon finished the regular season seventeen points back of the Vees went 1-6 vs Penticton this season.  The Vipers are 2-0 on the road in these playoffs are 18-12-0-2 away from home this season (regular season & playoffs).

Thomas Aldworth (37-19-56) lead the Vipers during the regular season in goals with thirty seven while Liam Finlay (23-41-64) leads the team during the regular season in points with sixty four.

Liam Finlay (2-2-4) & Thomas Aldworth (2-1-3) share the team lead in playoff goals with two each while Finlay leads the team in playoff scoring with four point.

The Interior Division Pennant winning & Regular season champion Penticton Vees are coming off a 7-0 win over the visiting West Kelowna Warriors Monday took the best of seven series in five games to advance to the Interior Division Finals for a fourth straight year.  The Vees finished fourteen points up on Nanaimo for the league's best team-record lost in seven games to Vernon in last years Interior Division Finals.  Penticton has won seven of the last ten meetings at home over the Vipers outscored Vernon 19-10 in the six games this season.  The Vees lost just three games at the SOEC this season are 27-3-1-1 at home this season (regular season & playoffs).  

Demico Hannoun (23-18-41) & Tyson Jost (23-22-45) shared the team lead in goals during the regular season with twenty three each while Patrick Newell (16-31-47) lead the team in regular season points with fourty seven.

Dakota Conroy (3-3-6) leads the team in playoff goals with three, while shares the team lead in playoff points with Demico Hannoun (2-4-6).

Demico Hannoun played 47 games in Vernon last season collecting (15-29-44) in his only season with the Vipers before being traded to Surrey in the off season.
