Panthers Re-Sign Former Viper Forward Bayda:

The DEL Augsburger Panthers have re-signed former Vernon Vipers forward Ryan Bayda.

The Panthers are a professional ice hockey team from Augsburger, Bavaria Germany. Bayda spent the past three seasons with the DEL Neurmberg Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers before signing with the Panthers July 12th 2013. Bayda played one season in Vernon (1998-99) playing in 45 games with the Vipers collecting (24-goals-58-assists-82-points). Bayda was drafted 80th overall in Round 3 of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Huricanes. Bayda played parts of five seasons with the Huricanes before signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins but played the 2009-10 season with the Penguins farm club the AHL Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.

The Augsburg panthers work further continuously on the cadre for the season 2014/15. Now the contract with attacker Ryan Bayda could be also extended by an other playing time. The club announced this to the fans in the stadium exclusively before the today's play against Hamburg Freezers.

Ryan Bayda changed before the topical season of the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers to the Augsburg panthers and was immediately the expected strengthening. Offensively 17 gates and 20 Assists stand for the 33 year-old Canadian in 43 plays to beech. With it shunted the left shooter in the internal Scorerwertung behind Ivan Ciernik and Mike Connolly on place three. But also in the whole DEL Bayda is to be found among 25 point-best players.

Bayda could collect a lot of experience in his present career what allowed to mature him into an absolute leadership player. He became in 2000 from the Carolina Hurricanes in the third round gedraftet. In eight years of American hockey league he could show completely good statistics what also introduced 194 applications for the Hurricanes in the Nationwide hockey league in him.
