Former Viper Scofield Leaves Klagenfurt AC:

Former Vernon Vipers forward Tyler Scofield is leaving Klagenfurt AC. 

(Klagenfurter Athletiksport-Club) is a professional ice hockey team from Klagenfurt, Carinthia, Austria that plays in the Austrian Erste Bank Hockey League.  Scofield has spent the past four seasons in Austria.  In 49 games this past season Scofield collected (18-goals-10-assists-28-points).  Scofield played parts of two seasons in Vernon (2000-2002) before being traded to Prince George during the 2001-2002 season.  The Vipers sent Scofield and Mark nelson to the Spruce Kings in return for Rod Pelly, Dan Rossi & Josh Ciocco.  In 79 games with the Vipers Scofield collected (21-goals-19-assists-40-points).

Stloukal new Head coach, Myllys of new goalkeeper's coaches!

Today the EC-KAC has introduced within the scope of a press conference Martin Stloukal as a new Head coach for the coming season! Besides, the red jackets announced the obligation of a new goalkeeper's coach. With Jarmo Myllys Olympia-Medaillengewinner and world champion comes to Klagenfurt!

The 42-year-old Stloukal – he signed an Einjahreskontrakt the KAC owns the option on an other season – the succession of Christer Olsson will line up with it. “ We could not be contented with the tramped playing time of course, thus we had to carry out changes. After thorough considerations we have decided quite clearly on Stloukal ”, explains vice-president Hellmuth Reichel.

Stloukal becomes with it “ a big honour to share. The KAC is recognized internationally very much. For me a dream goes to fulfilment ”, the Czech allowed to announce within the scope of the press conference. The new coach knows the EBEL very well, two Saisonen he stood with the HC Znojmo in the volumes. Also in Klagenfurt he wants to place on quick and active hockey. “ One will get to see a läuferisch strong team ”, assures the 42-year-old.

Four to five new legionaries will change to Klagenfurt. Stloukal owns the best contacts to Finland and Sweden, with some aces already there run conversations. Also in the coming season one will place on seven, maximum eight import, but the new coach also got the default to place still even more on own younger generation. “ I promise that our fourth row is formed always by promising aces and also is used regularly. I want to find the right mixture in the team ”, according to Stloukal.

Of triple Olympia-Medaillengewinner the Keeper trains!

With Jarmo Myllys Stloukal brings a quite experienced man with to Klagenfurt. The 48-year-old former world class-Keeper disposes of much international experience. Last he was a goalkeeper's coach with the Finnish Erstligisten SAIPA, besides he coached the junior in all Finnish younger generation-national teams. “ I want to bring the Finnish goalkeeper's school to Klagenfurt. I am glad about the collaboration with Rene Swette and Fabian Weinhandl ”, explains to triple Olympia-Medaillengewinner.

Already on the 22nd April the summer training starts with the red jackets, at the latest on the 14th July all legionaries must also be in Klagenfurt. 4th August the ice training is taken up, from the 15th to the 17th August one is with the "Gäubodenvolksfestcup" in Straubing in use in the application. Other five to six test play-appointments are still fixed!
