Duncan Wray Collects Win #800

Congratulations to Vernon Vipers owner Duncan Wray on picking up career win #800 as owner of the Vernon Lakers-Vipers hockey club with the 3-2 double overtime win over West Kelowna tonight.  Wray took over new ownership of the Vernon Lakers in 1992-93 after purchasing the Vernon Lakers off former owner Mel Lis.  Wray changed the Vernon Lakers name to the Vernon Vipers to start the 1995-96 regular season.  Since 1992 Duncan Wray has won six League Championships (1996,1999,2003,2009,2010 & 2011) as well as four National Championships-Royal Bank Cups (1996,1999,2009 & 2010).  Wray has guided the Vernon Lakers-Vipers franchise to a regular season record of 800-464-66 missing the playoffs just three times (2001, 2012 & 2013).  Wrays most wins in a regular season as owner of the Lakers-Vipers franchise is 52 regular season wins wich came during 1998-99 season as the 1999 Vipers recorded a franchise record 52-8-2 regular season record winning the 1999 RBC Cup. Wrays Lakers-Vipers won 30 or more regular season games in one season 18 times and won 40 or more regular season games in a season 7 times.
