Former Viper Connor Jones Named To ECAC Preseason All-League Team:

Former Vernon Vipers forward Connor Jones was named to the ECAC Preseason All-League Team.  Connor Jones is entering his third season with the Quinnipiac Bobcats. Connor and his twin brother Kellen both played four years in Vernon (2006-2010). In 163 regular season games with the Vipers Connor collected (80-118-198) Connor also is the Vipers all-time franchise points leader (regular season & playoffs) with 228 & all-time franchise goals leader (regular season & playoffs) with 95.

PRESEASON ALL-LEAGUE TEAM SHOWCASES FIREPOWER ON OFFENSE
UPPERCLASSMEN HIGHLIGHT COACHES’ SELECTIONS

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 2012-13 coaches’ preseason all-league team is made up of five positional student-athletes who ranked near the top of scoring leaders among their teams last season and a goaltender that was at the top of nearly every league statistical category last season. As voted on by the league's 12 head coaches, players from four different teams - Harvard, Quinnipiac, St. Lawrence, and Union make-up the preseason all-league team.

TROY GROSENICK
UNION - JR.
GOALTENDER

Coming off an exceptional campaign for Union where he was the school’s first-ever Hobey Baker Finalist... Received Ken Dryden Award as ECAC Hockey’s top goaltender ... In 2011-12 ranked first in conference action in goals-against average (1.60); save percentage (.940); and win percentage (.767)... Finished last season second in the nation in goalsagainst average (1.65); save percentage (.936); and winning percentage (.758).

DANNY BIEGA
HARVARD - SR.
DEFENSE

Last season was named ECAC Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman, firstteam ECAC Hockey All-League and to the ECAC Hockey Championship All- Tournament Team ... Ranked second nationally among defensemen with 1.03 points per game and 20th among all skaters with 0.74 assists per game ... In 2011-12 led defensemen with 23 points and eight goals in ECAC Hockey play and scored a leaguehigh 14 power-play points (2-12-14).

MAT BODIE
UNION - JR.
DEFENSE

Finished second among all ECACHockey defenseman in scoring (6g-10a- 16pts) in 2011-12 ... Earned AHCA First- Team All-American honors, becoming the first Union defenseman to be named to the first team in program history ... Named to the ECAC Hockey First Team last season ... Recorded eight goals and 21 assists for 29 points in 39 overall contests, the second highest point total by a defenseman in program history ... Had a season long nine game point streak.

DANIEL CARR
UNION - JR.
FORWARD

Finished third on the team with 40 points (20 goals, 20 assists), and first with nine power-play goals and five game-winning goals in 41 overall contests in 2011-12.... It was the Dutchmen’s fifth 20- goal season in the DI era ... Led Union with five game-winning goals and three shorthanded goals last season... Scored gamewinning goal and dded an assist in the ECAC Men’s Hockey Championship Game gainst Harvard last March and was named to the All-Turnament Team.

KYLE FLANAGAN
ST. LAWRENCE - SR.
FORWARD

Reached the 100 areer point plateau ith an assist in the inal game of the season... Name MVP of he Ledyard Tournament scoring three goals and dding three assists... Tied for the team ead in scoring with 7 points on 14 goals nd 23 assists in only 28 overall games ... veraged 1.00 points er game in conference lay last season n five goals and 13 ssists ... Recorded nine power-play oals, a shorthander nd two game-winners n 2011-12.

CONNOR JONES
QUINNIPIAC - JR.
FORWARD

Led the Bobcats in scoring last season with 41 points on 13 goals and 28 assists in 37 games as a sophomore... averaged 1.05 points per game in 19 conference outings in the 2011-12 campaign ... tied for fourth in ECAC Hockey dishing- out 16 assists in
20 games ... Was elected to the Third team All-League squad last season ... Proved to be a clutch goal scorer, netting five power-play goals and two game-winning goals last season For the Bobcats.
