Much Deserving Scholarship:

Id like to take this time to congratulate, Vernon Vipers defenceman, Malcolm Lyles after hearing yesterday that the 20 yr old d-man has committed to play for the University of Massachusetts-Lowell Riverhawks for next season. Myself along with several other Viper fans all agree Malcolm has really come into his own and is one of if not the most improved player from the start of the season. Lyles came to Vernon after playing the past two season's with Boston College. One of the league's strongest hitters and strongest skaters Lyles is very hard to knock off the puck and very hard to play against. One of the more awkward looking skating styles, Lyles looks alot more comfortable jumping up into the play more and carrying the puck. One of the more stronger Vipers I have seen in many years, Lyles is very strong and very quick. You knew at the start of the season, Mark Ferner would help improve Lyles game and it has showed. Congrats Malcolm and all the best in the upcoming playoffs with the Vipers and your future with the Riverhawks.
