I didn't get a chance to listen to the game on radio tonight as we had our Thanksgiving dinner. I see the Vipers put up another 2 points on the board tonight, even knowing it was against a team with only 1 win. The Vipers look good this season and keep winning. Go Vipers Go
I watched tonight's Vipers-Eagles game on Flo Hockey. Prior to the game, looking at the standings, this looked like it should be an easy win but once the game started, maybe not the game but the score was very close until the Vipers scored with two seconds remaining in the 2nd period to take a 3-1 lead into the 3rd before blowing the game open in the 3rd. The Vipers were the better team for most of the game. The Eagles held their own now and again and looked good at different times in the game during the 1st period but the Snakes outplayed Surrey in the 2nd and 3rd periods. That third goal late in the 2nd period was huge and the turning point. The Vipers have won seven straight games for the first time since 2023 and gotten off to their best start of the season since starting the 2011-12 season 7-0 I know it's early and it's a long season but so far the Vipers have looked very good. For the first time since the current ownership has own the team, the Vipers have loads of talent/skill and can put the puck in the net. Recruiting/scouting has been brutal since ownership purchased the team in 2018. Matt Cooke and his staff had done a great job at turning around this team so far. The team is fun to watch again, exciting and entertaining and winning games for the first time in many years. Go Vipers Go!
