The kid has some size and put up good numbers in only 17 games this season as a defenceman. I noticed he also played a few games with the Surrey Eagles.
Lets hope the Vipers do a better job recruiting then they have the past few years.
They all look good on paper but the Coach rarely seems happy with them once they arrive in Vernon. I wish the best for all of our "committed" players but wish the Viper Management would show the same level of commitment to them. This year was particularly poor with 12 - 14 committed players being shipped away. It is, however, wonderful to see most of the castoffs doing very well with their new teams. This creates a bad reputation for our program and displays the Viper's terribly inadequate scouting/recruiting. Time will tell, best of luck to all the young players who feel their hockey journey runs through Vernon.
Burrett is a great player glad they have decided to stay looking local in Bc and Slberta as there is great players and more highly skilled from the 06 age group and 07 08 coming no need to take chances on week US Highschool prep leagues! Skilled puck mover similar to Compton.
He better not unpack his bags if and when he gets here!!
