Jeff Cheeseman was and is still one of my favorite Vernon Vipers. This was a great interview and I was blown away at how much Jeff remembered but the details. Jeff brought up Glen Metropolits breakaway vs Penticton. I still remember listening to that game on the radio, if Metroploit scores, the game and series is over. Instead Ryan Bechard scores the overtime winner and the Panthers rally down 3-1 to win the series 4-3. I can still remember opening the Vernon Morning Star newspaper the summer of 1995 and reading about the Vernon Lakers changing to the Vernon Vipers. I was in shock and it took me a long time to get over it. That 1995-96 team was good and looking at the photos at the end of this video brought back some great memories. These photos and many others like these from previous Vernon junior hockey teams should be in display cases in and around Kal Tire Place. Thanks to the Vernon Vipers and Graham Turnbull for doing these videos, I really enjoy them! Looking forward to the next one.
